Yuletide Letter 2024 (Stellarete)

Thank you for writing for me! I know I took a while to get this letter up -- feel free to just go based off of what was in my signup and completely ignore the letter.

I'm okay with whatever backstory/route options you want to go with for Andreas -- I've played through the game once, and went Italy/Bookworm/Theology/Occultist/Logician/Poland, and accused Ferenc and Hanna, but I'm happy to see any version of Andreas and Tassing!

If you're looking for more inspiration, here are some potential prompts:

* Modern historians attempting to reconstruct what happened in Tassing from incomplete information
* After Andreas's presumed death, Tassing grapples with how to react to it
* some sort of time loop situation where Andreas is trying to make it through Act II without Tassing succumbing to major violence? possibly featuring bonus Caspar angst as he realizes that the only way to save Caspar is by treating him harshly

FFFX Letter

Dear author,

Thank you for writing for me! Feel free to just go based off of the likes I listed in my signup, but if you're looking for more inspiration, I've added some notes and additional prompts below.

The amount of space I've devoted to each relationship has nothing to do with how excited I'd be to receive fic about it -- there are some relationships where I had lots of ideas for prompts, and some where I didn't have as many, but everything I requested is something I'd be happy to receive.

Pentiment

Some prompts that could work for multiple nominated relationships

  • Any requested character grapples with the revelations of act III (for requested relationships, it's fine if one character never appears in the fic, as long as their relationship with the other character is still relevant)
  • Modern historians attempting to reconstruct what happened in Tassing from incomplete information.
    • for the above prompt, it's totally fine if the modern historians aren't sure of any specific details, but I'd prefer if the fic doesn't treat pretending that queer people don't exist/automatically assuming that they don't as the disciplinary standard
  • After Andreas's presumed death, Tassing grapples with how to react to it
  • some sort of time loop situation where Andreas is trying to make it through Act II without Tassing succumbing to major violence? possibly featuring bonus Caspar angst as he realizes that the only way to save Caspar is by treating him harshly

 

Magdalene Druckeryn/Esther Sommerfeld 

For this relationship, I would prefer that Esther not be explicitly cheating on Simund -- I don't care whether it's set before her relationship with him, or whether it's an AU where he doesn't exist, or whether she and Simund have some sort of lavender-marriage type deal going on, or whatever.

  • Epistolary fic set during the years leading up to Act III
  • Post-canon, Magdalene and Esther are lovers together in Prague

 

Sister Amalie & Father Thomas

  • (art) Sister Amelie's book, rendered as a comic
  • Something from Sister Amelie's perspective, during the time while Father Thomas is still manipulating her, where we can see what that manipulation looked like from her perspective.

  • Roberto or Hiraga playing the role of Devil's Advocate (as in, the specific church office) during a canonization hearing. (I realize that the Devil's Advocate is barely relevant anymore, but feel free to handwave that for the fic.)

Hiraga Josef Kou & Lauren Di Luca

  • We see in episode 5 that Lauren really did read the Bible like Hiraga asked. I would love to see what their conversations about it actually looked like.

Pokémon MGVS

N & Hilda or N & Hilbert

I see N & Hilda or N & Hilbert as functionally equivalent. If you decide to write for this prompt, feel free to just pick whichever of the two you prefer.

  •  Ghetsis's plan succeeds; what happens next?
  • AU where Hilda/Hilbert can speak to Pokémon like N, and they have their Pokémon carry messages to each other as they try to persuade each other to see their side

  • Secrets and secret identity shenanigans -- Hunter secretly being a Grimwalker, or Luz helping Belos meet the Collector, or any of the smaller secrets they're keeping
  • Something semi-epistolary told in part through Boiling Isles social media

Terra Snapdragon &/ Raine Whispers

Owl House (fucked up mind control edition)! I know that in canon Raine was strongly implied to be able to magically negate the effects of Terra's tea, but for this one I'd be especially interested in fic where their technique only partially works, or doesn't work at all. In terms of more specific prompts for things that could happen:
  • Raine, only half-remembering their past, attempts to live by their values anyways, while being deeply confused about how to actually do so
  • Terra takes advantage of Raine's memory troubles to trick Raine into thinking she's part of the rebellion in order to manipulate Raine into taking pro-Belos actions that she's told them will help the rebellion

I'm okay with ~arbitrarily fucked up things happening in this request.

Hunter & Belos

  • Pre-Hollow-Mind, Hunter is sent on some sort of mission on behalf of Belos, ideally of the sort that leads to tension between his loyalty to Belos and his sense of ethics
  • something from Belos's PoV, having to do with the parallels Belos sees between Hunter and Caleb

Family Man

Lucien de St. Yves & Luther Levy

  • In-universe academia -- whether that's characters teaching classes, characters doing research, characters navigating university politics, characters having late-night discussions about philosophy, whatever you think would be interesting

Ace Attorney

As a note, I'm currently playing through SoJ, so I may end up waiving my SoJ spoilers DNW -- I'll try to remember to put a note here if so! (Obviously feel free to just write something without SoJ spoilers, none of the characters I'm requesting are in SoJ anyways.)

For AAI2 characters, you can use either their fan-localization names or their official-localization names, either is fine with me. (I do ask that whichever you go with, you keep Sebastian and Blaise as having the same surname as each other.)

Tyrell Badd/Byrne Faraday or Tyrell Badd/Byrne Faraday & Calisto Yew

  • Casefic! I'd be excited about basically anything involving some sort of Yatagarasu mission. 
  • Or, casefic, but it's a regular case that they're investigating exclusively in the capacity of their regular jobs, but it keeps touching on the Yatagarasu in ways that might give them away.
  • After Byrne's death, Tyrell keeps trying to chase down Calisto, while grieving Byrne.

Daryan Crescend/Klavier Gavin or Klavier Gavin & Kristoph Gavin

These two relationships are interesting to me for similar reasons -- both are Klavier + someone he was close to and thought he could trust, who turned out to be a literal murderer. Some potential prompts:

  • Klavier and Kristoph face off against each other in a trial.
  • Semi-epistolary fic, with letters exchanged between Klavier and Kristoph after Kristoph's arrest.
  • Something to do with Daryan and Klavier's relationship as simultaneous band partners and investigative partners, during the time after Klavier's debut but before everything fell apart. (Maybe casefic, maybe something more focused on their band days, maybe a mix of the two.)

Sebastian Debeste & Franziska von Karma

  • Post-AAI2, Sebastian works with Franziska to try to solve a new case
  • Post-AAI2, Franziska helps Sebastian properly study case law
  • Anything to do with their mutually complicated relationships with their fathers.

Blaise Debeste & Sebastian Debeste

  • Post-AAI2, Sebastian grapples with what sort of connection, if any, he wants to have with his father
  • A pre-canon event from Sebastian's childhood or teenagerhood -- possibly involving Sebastian being manipulated into helping one of Blaise's schemes without realizing it
  • Post-AAI2, Sebastian is leading an investigation into a new case, and for whatever reason there's important information about the case that only Blaise knows

Terra Ignota

Carlyle Foster, 9A, Worldbuilding

Clarification on character inclusion: Please include either {both Carlyle and 9A}, or Worldbuilding. If you want to include both (or even just worldbuilding + one of them) that's totally fine and would make me very happy, but I don't want to overly constrain the story.

 

I love this series! 

I really like the worldbuilding. I love how detailed it is, like every time you zoom in to look closer there's more details hiding beneath the surface. I especially like the societal worldbuilding -- alternative government structures, handling of religion, the Hive system, etc.

I chose Carlyle + 9A because I think they play off each other really well. Also because they are such good tragic people :(

Some potential prompts for this fandom:

  • More of 9A, Carlyle, and co. trying to run a sort-of-vaguely functional city during the war, possibly with whatever worldbuilding details you feel like including
  • Carlyle as 9A's sensayer (pre/during/post-canon are all fine for this -- if post-canon, feel free to handwave something like 'the synthesized resurrection potions were able to somehow bring back 9A)
  • Any sort of worldbuilding you think would be interesting -- daily life for ordinary people? education? post-war society? something else?
  • By whatever coincidence is necessary to justify them being in a position to notice, Carlyle notices that 9A is ~turning into Mycroft before the process is actually finished, and has to decide what to do about this

  • bjorn and Computron getting into some other fandom together (for this prompt, feel free to use a fandom that actually exists - you can assume I'm familiar with anything I've previously requested or written in the past, and additionally I think Murderbot or Catnet could work well for these specific characters)
  • bjorn finding out that Computron is a robot
  • bjorn and Computron being able to actually meet up in person
